Located 15km south of Chiang Mai, this village houses over 100 workshops specializing in teak and hardwood carving. Visit workshops behind the main tourist shops to see master carvers at work on temple commissions and bespoke pieces. Many artisans offer week-long intensive courses (5,000-15,000 baht). Best selection of high-quality pieces found in workshops along Soi 3 and Soi 7.
