Hellfire Pass Memorial Museum

A moving memorial to Allied POWs who died building the Death Railway, carved through solid rock with hand tools.
About this place
This Australian-built museum honors prisoners who suffered under Japanese occupation during WWII. The 4km walking trail through the actual cutting is haunting and educational. Arrive early morning for cooler temperatures and bring water - the trail has little shade and steep sections.
