Local families sell homemade northern Thai specialties like khao soi and sai ua sausage, while artisans demonstrate traditional crafts like pottery and silverwork. The best spot is near the old wooden bridge where you can eat while watching the sunset reflect off the water, and the som tam vendor at the entrance makes hers with fermented fish sauce in the authentic Isan style.
