The pearl farm tours are surprisingly fascinating and cost only 200 baht including boat transfer from Ao Po Pier. The island's beaches are virtually empty despite being close to Phuket. Pack lunch as the island's restaurant is basic, and visit the small pearl museum which showcases the traditional techniques still used today.
