This challenging mountain park closes during rainy season (June-September), making the October reopening the best time for canyon hiking when waterfalls are at peak flow. The 9km ascent to reach the plateau is steep, but the reward is access to multiple canyon systems with camping spots right on cliff edges. Pack warm clothes as temperatures can drop to near freezing at night, and book porters in advance during peak season as they're essential for multi-day canyon exploration.
