Sticky Waterfall (Bua Tong) and Sri Lanna National Park Tour
Climb the unique limestone waterfall where mineral deposits make the rocks non-slip, combined with exploring pristine forest trails and natural pools.
About this place
The Bua Tong Waterfall gets its nickname from limestone deposits that create a sticky surface, allowing visitors to safely walk up the waterfall barefoot - a truly unique natural phenomenon. The surrounding Sri Lanna National Park offers excellent hiking trails through pristine forest, hidden caves, and additional smaller waterfalls perfect for swimming. Most tours combine this with a visit to nearby Mae Malai Market for local snacks and the quirky Wat Ban Den temple with its giant golden Buddha statue. Visit early morning or late afternoon for the best lighting and fewer crowds, and bring water shoes for better grip on wet rocks.
