Talad Chom Thong Hill Tribe Market
A weekly mountain market where Karen and Hmong villagers descend from the hills every Saturday to trade handpicked forest vegetables and medicinal herbs.
About this place
Every Saturday from 5:00-11:00 AM, hill tribe families gather to sell foraged bamboo shoots, wild honey, and medicinal plants not found in regular markets. The market features traditional Karen textiles and silver jewelry made by the vendors themselves. Communication is often in Karen or Hmong languages, but the elderly tribal women are incredibly welcoming. Park at the base of the hill and walk up the dirt road - regular cars can't make the climb.
