The 318-step climb to the golden chedi is lined with bells that visitors ring for good luck. This temple provides one of the best panoramic views of old Bangkok without the crowds of modern skyscrapers. Visit during the annual Loy Krathong festival in November when the mount is beautifully illuminated and wrapped in red cloth.
